Restoration of stained-glass windows at CHU Sainte-Justine
For our inaugural project of the year, we assumed the task of restoring the stained-glass windows in the Marcelle Ferron skylight at CHU Sainte-Justine. These windows are not just functional; they are works of art created by the renowned artist Marcelle Ferron. Our challenge was to replace the glass without compromising Ferron's artistic vision. Through services such as stained-glass insertion and window restoration, we successfully restored the windows, breathing new life into them. The result: the stained glass now shines anew, preserving its original beauty.
Replacement of a sealed unit at the Faculty of Music, McGill University
Our second major project entailed replacing a sealed unit at the Faculty of Music, McGill University, due to thermal breakage. Handling such projects is a specialty at Basco. We understand when and how to replace thermal glass to ensure optimal performance and aesthetics. The architectural complexity of McGill's building added an extra layer to this challenge. Maintenance and repair of solariums at the Sanctuary of Mount Royal
For our third major project, we tackled the maintenance and repair of the solariums at the Sanctuary of Mount Royal, a condominium complex. The project involved replacing sealed units, an area in which Basco excels. Due to their elevated placement, the solariums presented a specific challenge in accessing them. Their maintenance, crucial for the condominiums, required the intervention of our experts to ensure high-quality upkeep. Our team rose to the challenge, replacing damaged glass while reinforcing the structure of the solariums.
